What i took from this project
What I took from this project is more appreciation for art and poetry. This collections of texts and the hunt for symbolism, the hidden gems of any art piece, was what gave the poems depth. My favorite part of this project was having the opportunity to give my input and personal truth to the pieces I chose. The process in which I decided to partake on was simple, I dissected each poem, gave meaning to any possible symbolism, defined it, and gave a closing thought.
This took a lot of initial motivation to take on, and the end product for me is something that I am proud of and I hope this exudes how I view art and the appreciation I have for it. The process started with me taking various notes throughout reading the poems and taking several different viewpoints.
The deep meaning and connection I had with the expression, especially from an author who is proudly gay. Made the project so much more important to me.
